BRIGHTON — The woman charged with first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in the death of her 7-month-old boy entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity Thursday.
The remains of Torrey Brown Jr. were found in the Denver/Arapahoe Disposal Site more than a month after Sharrieckia Page’s son went missing on March 29.
Investigators used DNA evidence to confirm it was Torrey’s body.
9Wants to Know obtained court documents accusing Page of smothering Torrey in his crib. The documents also accuse Page of placing his body in a “book bag” and throwing it into a Dumpster.
